Baby-Friendly Places to Eat in Manchester

Grabbing a bite to eat or something to drink with babies in tow can be a challenge. But we have found baby-friendly venues that deliver the little details that matter to parents, making eating out with family in Manchester an enjoyable experience.

Feed your family at one of our favourite places to eat in the city…

Treehouse, Altrincham

This Swiss-Family Robinson style indoor adventure play centre boasts a child-friendly restaurant, bar and cafe serving freshly made dishes including all-day brunch, weaning platters for the little ones and homemade treats if you fancy something sweet. Families can enjoy a meal together in the cafe then let the kids play while grown-ups finish their coffee or drop the kids off in the Friday Night pyjama club and head to the restaurant for a child-free meal and a well-deserved glass of fizz.

Foodwell, New Bailey, Salford

Manchester's first wellbeing restaurant and event space is a beautiful feel-good place families will love. Children can try their deliciously appealing "real food for kids" menu including banana and blueberry teddy bear porridge or a nutritious 5-a-day lunch box. There’s also a selection of weaning soups, patties and teething popsicles for younger ones. New mums can restore their core with postnatal yoga classes, and bond with baby through singing and massage sessions too.

Our Kid, Chorlton

Award-winning kids clothing, gift and interior retail store with a cafe is super family-friendly and stylish to boot. Parents can shop the latest brands while the little ones enjoy a babyccino or a "little lunch". Families can relax in a laid-back atmosphere and kids can play with the venue’s toy collection or outside on the soft astroturf lawn - great for little crawlers!

Yard & Coop, Northern Quarter

Spacious restaurant Yard & Coop offers a fun dining experience for their guests. Families can be fed in uniquely themed chicken coops (with twinkly lights). There are highchairs and baby changing facilities for little ones and bigger kids can play with lego and colour with crayons while their tasty chicken dishes are cooking. And that's not all, kids eat free during the school holidays too!

Become an M&B Directory approved venue and proudly display our badge on your website and a sticker at your venue.

The Mum & Baby Directory is a welcoming sign to mums, dads, grandparents & carers. Families will feel comfortable visiting baby-friendly approved venues.

The Mum & Baby Directory approved criteria

Venues should be welcoming to families and have baby changing facilities/accessible toilets. Highchairs are a must for little ones eating and bottle warming facilities are a great help for parents when out and about. Activity packs to keep the kids entertained while waiting for their meal can be a lifesaver too.

Little extras (not essential but an added bonus)

Ideally, venues would have space to park prams, a children's menu with a good selection of food and drink, and a play area or classes & clubs would be superb!
